Terms & Conditions
These terms govern all orders placed through theastudioworks.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Products
Each piece is handmade to order in small batches, using our proprietary casting process. Because of this, slight variation in surface texture, weight, and finish is part of the piece, not a fault. Photography is a close approximation of colour and finish; screens vary.
Metal purity is as stated on each listing (e.g. 18ct, 9ct gold; sterling silver) and, where applicable, is hallmarked in line with UK assay requirements.
Personalisation and made-to-order items
Items made with a personalised engraving. once ordered and cannot be resold. For these pieces:
- Please check spelling of any engraving carefully before ordering — we are not able to accept returns for buyer error on personalisation.
- Lead times are stated on the listing and begin once any personalisation details are confirmed.
- Cancellations are only possible before production has started; contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in GBP and include UK VAT where applicable. For orders shipped outside the UK, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges applied by your country — these are not included in the listing price and are collected by the courier or local authority on delivery.
Full payment is taken at the time of order.
Shipping
We ship worldwide. Dispatch times are stated on each listing and run separately from any courier transit time. Once a parcel has left us, delivery timeframes are estimates provided by the courier, not guarantees.
Returns and exchanges
Standard (non-personalised) items: in line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from receipt to notify us you wish to return an item, and a further 14 days to send it back. The item must be unworn, in its original packaging, and in resaleable condition. Once received and checked, we'll issue a refund to your original payment method within 14 days. Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty.
Personalised or made-to-order items: these are exempt from the standard right to cancel under UK consumer law, as they are made to your specification. We're not able to accept returns on these unless the item is faulty or does not match what was agreed.
Faulty or damaged items
If an item arrives damaged or develops a fault outside of normal wear, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We'll offer a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. This doesn't affect your other statutory rights.
Care and wear
Fine jewellery will show wear over time — this is expected and not a manufacturing fault. Guidance on care is available on request. Damage from chemicals, chlorine, impact, or improper storage isn't covered under the faulty items policy above.
Intellectual property
All designs, photography, and written content on this site belong to THEA studioworks. Please don't reproduce, copy, or use our images or descriptions without permission.
Limitation of liability
We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your order. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.
